CLEANING/STERILIZING
- The complete syringe should be sterilised or thoroughly washed after each use.
- The washer should be lubricated with a silicone oil (SILIGLISS: code 106023 in 10ml and 106021 in 30ml).
- The piston-axle-cap should be cleaned with care so as to not strip the thread.
LUER LOCK NEEDLE GUIDELINE (African Species)
- Note: Inyathi cannot be held responsible for incorrect needle use. Change needles after ~5 injections.
- 15g: Thick-skinned animals (rhino, elephant, giraffe). Good for thin fluids (tranquillizers) and thick fluids (antibiotics).
- 16g: Thick-skinned animals (rhino, giraffe, eland) in good muscle mass.
- 17g: Tranquillizing plains game (buffalo, wildebeest, waterbuck, young eland).
- 18g: Thin-skinned animals that bleed easily (zebra). Also used in lion muscle mass.
- 19g: Primates and smaller cat species (use shorter needles).
- 20g: Smaller animals to cause minimal trauma.
- 1″ to 1.5″: For deep intramuscular injections on animals with large muscle mass
