A Practical Pole-Syringe System

Inyathi pole-syringe equipment is designed for situations where an animal may be dangerous, difficult or impractical to approach closely. The system allows users to work from a greater physical distance while bringing the treatment equipment to the animal.
A complete setup combines a pole, syringe and Luer Lock needle, together with an adaptor or accessory where required. The appropriate combination depends on the animal-handling situation, working environment and equipment being used.

What makes up a complete pole-syringe setup?

A complete setup generally combines a pole, syringe and Luer Lock needle, together with an adaptor or accessory where required.

Telescopic poles provide adjustable, extendable reach and are suited to field and cattle applications. Modular poles are compact and robust, making them suitable for smaller spaces and cages as well as field use.

Current Inyathi syringe options include 2.5 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml and 20 ml capacities.

Luer Lock needles should be used with Inyathi syringes. Gauge and length selection depends on the animal and intended application, so use the Needle Guide for guidance.

An adaptor is used where the syringe thread does not match the pole thread. It is used with the telescopic pole and the 2.5 ml and 5 ml syringe systems. If you are unsure which component is required, confirm the setup with Inyathi.

Yes. Replacement outer syringes, silicone O-rings, silicone lubricant, adaptors and other replacement or accessory parts are available.
